RRB Technician Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2024

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the Technician Exam for the posting in RRB. After applying for the RRB Technician post, the candidates must know the complete RRB Technician Syllabus and Exam Pattern. The RRB Technician Exam is conducted in CBT Mode objective type test.

RRB Technician Selection Process 2024

The Railway Technician selection process includes three stages, Computer Based Test (CBT-1), Computer Based Test (CBT-2) and Document Verification. The candidate has to qualify for all three stages to get selected for the RRB Technician post.

RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2024

The RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2024 comprises two online stages, both in an objective-type format. The 1st stage, CBT 1, consists of four sections to be completed within 60 minutes.

CBT 2 is divided into two parts namely Part A and Part B.

Part A includes four sections with a total of 100 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, while Part B contains 75 trade-related questions to be completed in 60 minutes.

• In the first stage of the CBT for Technician roles, there are 75 questions comprising the following categories
• Candidates will have the option to take this exam in English/Hindi or any of the regional languages.
• All the questions will be of objective types.
• The level of difficulty set for this exam will be of graduate level.
• Each correct answer carries 1 mark, while an incorrect answer results in a deduction of 1/3 mark due to negative marking.
• Candidates will have 60 minutes to attempt all the questions as all of them are compulsory.

The second stage of the CBT for Technician positions is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B.

Part A comprising four subjects – Mathematics, Basic Science and Engineering, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness. Part B contains questions related to the relevant trade.
