FCI Assistant Grade 3 Selection Process 2023
The FCI Assistant Grade 3 Selection Process (General, Depot, Movement, Accounts, Technical, Civil Engineering and Electrical Mechanical Engineering) that is A, B, C, D, E, F, G Post consists of the following stages:
- Online Test
- Training
While FCI Selection Process (Hindi) will consist of only the Online Test and Interview. The FCI Assistant Grade 3 Exam Pattern has been explained in the subsequent paragraphs. The Online Test comprises Phase 1 and Phase 2 Exam.

FCI Assistant Grade 3 Exam Pattern 2023
FCI Assistant Grade 3 Online Exam is divided into two phases- Phase 1 and Phase 2. In the phase-2 exam, there will be 2 papers for which the detailed FCI Assistant Grade 3 Exam Pattern 2023 has been discussed below.
- The online exam is further divided into two phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2. Marks scored in the Phase 1 exam will not be considered while preparing the final merit list as it is a qualifying exam.
- Phase 1 exam is common for all 5 posts but there are some variations in the pattern of the Phase 2 online exam.
- Phase 2 is divided into two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. All the candidates have to appear in Paper 1. However, applicants who have applied for the postcodes E (AG 3: Accounts), F (AG 3: Technical) ans H (AG 3: Hindi) have to appear in Paper 2 as well, which is post specific.

FCI Assistant Grade 3 Exam Pattern 2023: Phase 1
The FCI Assistant Grade 3 Phase-1 examination will be conducted online and Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions). Candidates are allocated total duration of 60 minutes to complete the preliminary exam. There is section-wise timing for all sections i.e. 15 minutes each. It consists of 4 sections with a total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 100 marks.

- Phase-I Online test will be an Objective type (comprising Multiple Choice Questions).
- Each question will carry equal 01 (one) mark.
- For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth (1/4) of the mark assigned to that question.
- Unanswered questions will not be rewarded any marks. the marks obtained in FCI Assistant Grade 3 Exam Phase-1 will not be considered in the final merit ranking.

FCI Assistant Grade 3 Exam Pattern 2023: Phase 2
The candidates who have cleared the Phase 1 exam shall be eligible for Phase 2 of the online exam.

- The examination pattern for Assistant Grade 3 General and Depot are related, while the pattern for Assistant Grade 3 Accounts and Technical differs.
- There will be only one paper (Paper-I) in Phase- II for Assistant Grade 3 General and Depot.
- Two papers will be conducted for Assistant Grade 3 Accounts and Technical, i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II. The pattern of Paper-I will be similar in all the four posts under Assistant Grade 3 but will be different for Paper-II

The FCI Assistant Grade 3 syllabus for specified technical posts of Paper-2 to assess the post-specific technical knowledge of the relevant stream is as under:-
1. FCI Assistant Grade 3 (Junior Engineer- Civil Engineering) (Post Code-A):
This post has categories for specialised persons from Accounting, Finance, Taxes, Auditing and who has basic knowledge of Computers.
- Building Materials: Physical and Chemical properties building stones, cement (Portland), Asbestos products, Timber and Wood based Products, laminates, bituminous materials, paints, varnishes etc.
- Surveying: Principles of surveying, plane table surveying, theodolite, leveling and contouring, curvature, permanent adjustment of dumpy level, methods of contouring, tachometric survey etc.
- Soil Mechanics: void ratio, porosity, saturation, water content, specific gravity of soil grains and unit weights, grain size, Atterberg’s limits, soil classification, plasticity chart, permeability, consolidation of soils. Lab tests, moisture content, bearing capacity of soils, plate load test, standard penetration test etc.
- Estimating, Costing and Valuation: Estimate, analysis of rates, earthwork, Brick , RCC work shuttering, Painting, Flooring, Plastering flexible pavements, Tube well, isolates and combined footings, Steel
Truss, Piles etc. - Transportation Engineering: Types of pavements, pavement materials – aggregates and bitumen, Design of flexible and rigid pavements, bituminous construction, rigid pavement joint, pavement maintenance, Railway Engineering.
