EPFO SSA Syllabus and Exam Pattern : Selection Process

EPFO SSA Syllabus and Exam Pattern gives a roadmap to the candidates for the preparation of the online examination. EPFO SSA and Steno Exam Pattern

In this section, we have provided the EPFO Steno & SSA Exam Pattern for the convenience of aspirants. It is crucial for all aspirants to take note of the EPFO SSA Exam Pattern and EPFO Stenographer Exam Pattern while preparing for the examination. The Exam Pattern for both the posts is as follows:

EPFO SSA Exam Pattern

EPFO conducts the EPFO SSA exam in 2 stages, The 1st stage of the examination is CBE carrying Objective type questions. The second stage is the Skill Test (Computer Data Entry Test) which will be qualifying in nature. The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase 2 in the ratio of 1:10.

1. EPFO SSA prelims examination comprises 150 questions for 4 marks each. The total time duration prelim exam is 150 Minutes.
2. There is a negative marking of 1/4 for each incorrect answer.
3. EPFO SSA Prelims exam will be objective type and after qualifying for the examination candidates will be eligible for the phase 2 (Skill test).

EPFO Steno Exam Pattern

1. The question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only.
2. The questions will be set both in English and Hindi except part-III i.e. English Language and Comprehension
3. There shall be a negative marking of one-fourth marks for each incorrect answer.
4. Each correct answer carries 4 marks.

EPFO Skill Test : SSA and Steno

All those candidates who will qualify for the online examination will be called for the Skill Test. Skill tests will be qualifying in nature. Marks obtained will not be reckoned for the merit list.

EPFO SSA Skill Test

EPFO SSA Skill test is qualifying in nature, marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for the merit list. The candidates who are qualified in the CBT examination will be called for a skill test. The authorities test the accuracy and speed of the candidate for data entry work. A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. 35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word for Data Entry Work.

EPFO Steno Skill Test

• Dictation: 10 minutes at the rate of 80 words per minute. (Dictation will be computer based)
• Transcription: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi). (Only on computer)
