The date sheet for the compartment exams will be released in June 2024 on the official website cbse.gov.in. CBSE will conduct compartment exams for candidates who fail in any one or two subjects in CBSE Class 12 Exams 2024
CBSE Compartment Exam 2024
CBSE has renamed the compartment exam and improvement exam as Supplementary Exam. As suggested in NEP-2020, CBSE is now using some soft alternates as the word failed is replaced with Essential Repeat. In the same way, now CBSE will call it a supplementary exam.

Eligibility for Compartment Exams 2024
CBSE Compartment Exams 2024 Class 10 & 12th:– class XII students will get a chance to improve their performance in ONE subject in the supplementary examination.
- All the students who are placed in the Supplementary category.
- Other students who wish to improve their performance.

CBSE Compartment Exam 2024 Date and Time: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be announced that the CBSE Class 10th & 12th Supplementary examinations will be held on July 2024. CBSE Improvement Exam 2024 : Class 10th & 12th
This year, Class 10 students will be allowed to improve their performance in 2 subject in the supplementary examination. The Class 12 students will be allowed to improve their performance in 1 subject in the supplementary examination. The supplementary examination will be held on the syllabus of main examination 2024.
CBSE 10th Class Compartment Exam 2024
- Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
- Students fall under COMPARTMENT category in March 2024 and July 2024 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in the Compartment.
- Such a candidate who has been fall in the compartment in two subjects may opt for appearing in 5/6/7 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2024 Board examination. Such candidate should select his/her category as FAILURE while applying online.
- Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
CBSE Class 12th Compartment Exam 2024
- Candidates applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
- Candidates who got Compartment in one subject may also apply for appearing in 5/6 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2024 Board Examination.
- Such candidates should select his/her category as FAILURE while applying online.
- Students applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
