CBSE Compartment Exam 2023: Students who have been placed under compartment or wish to improve their scores can fill the form online on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. The last date to submit the form is June 15, 2023. The supplementary examination will take place from July 17, 2023
CBSE Compartment Exam 2023
CBSE has renamed the compartment exam and improvement exam as Supplementary Exam. As suggested in NEP-2020, CBSE is now using some soft alternates as the word failed is replaced with Essential Repeat. In the same way, now CBSE will call it a supplementary exam.

Eligibility for Compartment Exams 2023
CBSE Compartment Exams 2023 Class 10 & 12th:– class XII students will get a chance to improve their performance in ONE subject in the supplementary examination.
- All the students who are placed in the Supplementary category.
- Other students who wish to improve their performance.
CBSE Board Compartment Exam 2023 Latest Update
CBSE results was announced on May 12, 2023. The Class 10 pass percentage is 93.12 per cent and for Class 12, it is 87.33 per cent. Both in Class 10 and Class 12, girls have performed better than boys. The overall pass percentage of girls is 94.25 percent and boys is 92.72 percent for Class 10. For Class 12, overall pass percentage of girl candidates is 90.68 per cent. which is higher than boys’ 84.67 per cent.

CBSE Improvement Exam 2023 : Class 10th & 12th
This year, Class 10 students will be allowed to improve their performance in 2 subject in the supplementary examination. The Class 12 students will be allowed to improve their performance in 1 subject in the supplementary examination. The supplementary examination will be held on the syllabus of main examination 2023.
CBSE 10th Class Compartment Exam 2023
- Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
- Students fall under COMPARTMENT category in March 2023 and July 2023 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in the Compartment.
- Such a candidate who has been fall in the compartment in two subjects may opt for appearing in 5/6/7 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2023 Board examination. Such candidate should select his/her category as FAILURE while applying online.
- Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
CBSE Class 12th Compartment Exam 2023
- Candidates applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
- Students whose result has been declared as COMPARTMENT 2023 and July 2013 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in Compartment.
- Candidates who got Compartment in one subject may also apply for appearing in 5/6 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2023 Board Examination.
- Such candidates should select his/her category as FAILURE while applying online.
- Students applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
